Product details
The Kontrol Sport coilover for a 2006 to 2013 Lexus IS350 with all-wheel drive pairs 12 kg/mm front springs with 9.8 kg/mm rear springs, and its valving is set 30 percent stiffer than the Kontrol Pro. Four assembled coilovers come sprung and valved for this application.
Thirty-six damping levels per damper cover comfort at the soft end and handling at the firm end. Compression and rebound shift together as the setting changes, which keeps adjustments simple. A monotube body gives finer control and steadier heat removal than twin-tube designs.
On MacPherson applications, pillowball upper mounts install to OEM specifications, and the adjustable lower mount keeps shock travel intact while the car is lowered. Lock the collars with both spanner wrenches and have the car aligned after installation. The IS250, GS350 and GS450 are also listed for this system.
Supported features
36 levels of damping adjustment let you dial the system in for handling and comfort. Adjustment alters compression and rebound together for effective, user-friendly setup changes.
Oil and gas stay separated within the cylinder. Compared with twin-tube construction, a monotube dissipates heat faster and more evenly, allows finer damping adjustment, and resists aeration and cavitation for consistent ride quality.
Many MacPherson-strut applications use pillowball top mounts front and rear, installing to OEM specifications. The patented mount adds adjustability, combats noise, and sharpens steering feel and response.
Most applications adjust ride height without losing suspension travel, so you reach the height you want without bottoming out the shock. Separate rear shock-and-spring applications adjust at the spring perch and lower mount.
KSport's advanced upper pillowball mount is available on many applications, giving separate camber and caster adjustment for alignment work and removing the need for a separate camber kit.
Mounts, collars, and spring perches are machined from 6061-T6 billet aluminum for a lightweight, durable, corrosion-resistant build. Steel shock bodies are zinc-plated for added protection from corrosion.

Installation
Set ride height with the adjustable lower mount where the application has one; use the spring perch only where the application-specific layout has no adjustable lower mount. Lock every collar with both spanner wrenches. Start damping 18 clicks counterclockwise from full stiff and adjust from there. Professional setup and alignment are required after installation; on MacPherson fronts, establish baseline camber at the elongated lower-mount hole before fine adjustment at the upper plate.
