Competition drifting punishes suspension, and the Slide Kontrol coilovers for the 2006 to 2012 Lexus GS450h (listed on the page as GS450) are built for it. Front springs are 20 kg/mm and rear springs 12 kg/mm, and damping is configured roughly 30 to 50 percent stiffer than Kontrol Pro; the firmer springs assist initiation while drifting.
The shocks use 55 mm inverted bodies for oil capacity and cooling, and on MacPherson applications the lower mounts are strengthened steel. Upper mounts are pillowball with camber adjustability, helpful for alignment after lowering. You get four assembled coilovers, damping knobs and spanner wrenches; set the dampers 18 clicks counterclockwise from full stiff to begin and lock every collar with both wrenches. The compatibility list is long, covering GS350, GS430 and GS300 in RWD, along with IS250, IS350 and IS-F, each with its own year range. That makes it important to run your own car through the year, make and model checker before ordering.

Installation
Set ride height with the adjustable lower mount where the application has one; use the spring perch only where the application-specific layout has no adjustable lower mount. Lock every collar with both spanner wrenches. Start damping 18 clicks counterclockwise from full stiff and adjust from there. Professional setup and alignment are required after installation; on MacPherson fronts, establish baseline camber at the elongated lower-mount hole before fine adjustment at the upper plate.
