Slide Kontrol Drift is the KSport series tuned for sliding, and this version is listed for the 2006 to 2012 RWD Lexus GS350. Damping is configured roughly 30 to 50 percent stiffer than Kontrol Pro, and the spring rates of 20 kg/mm front and 12 kg/mm rear are chosen to help the car rotate when you initiate a drift. Some applications also include helper springs.
On MacPherson cars the shock is a 55 mm inverted body, offering more oil capacity and better cooling when a track day keeps loading the dampers. The lower mount is steel for competition loads, and the top mount is a pillowball with camber adjustment, which can save buying a separate camber kit. Inside, a monotube high-pressure design keeps oil and gas apart.
There are 36 damping steps. For normal driving, set it full soft; the page says that gives a comfortable cruising setting. Height is set at the adjustable lower mount. Four assembled coilovers, knobs and spanner wrenches are included. Start from 18 clicks counterclockwise, lock the collars with both wrenches and get a professional alignment. Installation
Set ride height with the adjustable lower mount where the application has one; use the spring perch only where the application-specific layout has no adjustable lower mount. Lock every collar with both spanner wrenches. Start damping 18 clicks counterclockwise from full stiff and adjust from there. Professional setup and alignment are required after installation; on MacPherson fronts, establish baseline camber at the elongated lower-mount hole before fine adjustment at the upper plate.
