The Slide Kontrol Drift coilover is set up for drifting on a 2006 to 2012 Lexus GS430 (rear-wheel drive). Four assembled coilovers come sprung and valved for this application, with 20 kg/mm front springs and 12 kg/mm rear springs. Some applications also get helper springs.
Damping runs about 30 to 50 percent firmer than the Kontrol Pro, and stiffer springs help the car initiate a slide. The 55 mm inverted-type shock bodies add oil capacity and cooling efficiency for sustained track sessions. Each damper still has 36 levels of adjustment, so the car can be set to a softer, calmer feel for ordinary driving.
Steel lower mounts with pillowball tops that carry camber adjustment are used for the loads of competitive drifting. Set ride height on the lower mount, lock every collar, and start damping 18 clicks counterclockwise from full stiff. Have the car aligned after installation, and verify fit with the year, make and model checker.
Supported features

Configured with roughly 30–50% stiffer shock damping than Kontrol Pro; stiffer spring rates assist initiation while drifting. Helper springs are included on some applications.
Inverted-type shocks use 55 mm bodies for added oil capacity and cooling efficiency, and perform better under sustained stress at track events.
MacPherson-strut applications use strengthened steel lower mounts for the loads of competitive drifting.
Many MacPherson applications have pillowball upper mounts with camber adjustability — helpful for alignment and removing the need for a separate camber kit.
Oil and gas stay separated within the cylinder for faster heat dissipation, finer damping adjustment, and consistent ride quality.

Installation
Set ride height with the adjustable lower mount where the application has one; use the spring perch only where the application-specific layout has no adjustable lower mount. Lock every collar with both spanner wrenches. Start damping 18 clicks counterclockwise from full stiff and adjust from there. Professional setup and alignment are required after installation; on MacPherson fronts, establish baseline camber at the elongated lower-mount hole before fine adjustment at the upper plate.
