Version DR for the 2006 to 2012 Lexus GS430 (rear-wheel drive) is aimed at the drag strip. The four assembled coilovers come sprung and valved for this application, at 24.8 kg/mm in front and 7.5 kg/mm at the rear, so the rear spring is far softer than the front.
Damping adjusts across 36 levels per damper, from a soft setting for the drive to the event to the stiffest end for focused launches. Custom valving is built into each kit for drag racing, on top of the Version RR road-race base. Mounts, collars and spring perches are machined from 6061-T6 billet aluminum.
Ride height is set on the adjustable lower mount, and both spanner wrenches are needed to lock the collars. Plan alignment work after the install, and on MacPherson fronts establish baseline camber at the elongated lower-mount hole. Check the year, make and model checker to confirm fit first. Installation
Set ride height with the adjustable lower mount where the application has one; use the spring perch only where the application-specific layout has no adjustable lower mount. Lock every collar with both spanner wrenches. Start damping 18 clicks counterclockwise from full stiff and adjust from there. Professional setup and alignment are required after installation; on MacPherson fronts, establish baseline camber at the elongated lower-mount hole before fine adjustment at the upper plate.
