Product details
The Version RR Road Race coilover is the Mazda 626 setup for 1993-1997, part CFD050-RR. Springs run 14 kg/mm front and 12 kg/mm rear, the valving is aggressive, and the shock stroke sits 20-30 mm shorter than on street kits. Four assembled coilovers arrive sprung and valved for this application.
Custom rates are available, and the shocks are valved to whatever rates you choose. Upgraded bumpstops are included to help keep the shock from bottoming out over uneven pavement or harsh road conditions. Monotube construction separates oil and gas inside the cylinder, which helps heat leave faster and keeps damping fine-tunable.
Set ride height on the adjustable lower mount, which keeps full shock travel, and use the spring perch only where the application has no lower mount. The 6061-T6 billet mounts, collars and spring perches resist corrosion, and the steel bodies are zinc-plated. The MX-6 and Ford Probe from 1993 to 1997 are also listed, so confirm your model with the year/make/model checker.
Supported features
36 levels of damping adjustment. Set full soft for a comfortable cruising setting for normal driving.
Version RR kits include upgraded bumpstops to prevent the shock from bottoming out over uneven pavement or harsh road conditions.
Aggressive spring rates and valving with a 20–30 mm shorter shock stroke. Choose proven spring rates or your own custom rates; the shocks are valved to what you select.
Many MacPherson applications have pillowball upper mounts; the patented bearing design combats noise and improves steering feel and response.
Oil and gas stay separated within the cylinder for faster heat dissipation, finer damping adjustment, and consistent ride quality.
Mounts, collars, and spring perches are machined from 6061-T6 billet aluminum; steel shock bodies are zinc-plated for added protection from corrosion.

Installation
Set ride height with the adjustable lower mount where the application has one; use the spring perch only where the application-specific layout has no adjustable lower mount. Lock every collar with both spanner wrenches. Start damping 18 clicks counterclockwise from full stiff and adjust from there. Professional setup and alignment are required after installation; on MacPherson fronts, establish baseline camber at the elongated lower-mount hole before fine adjustment at the upper plate.
