This Airtech Basic kit gives adjustable height to a 2006 to 2013 Lexus IS350 (rear-wheel drive). The complete package includes four air struts with 36-way damping, a Viair 444C compressor, a 5-gallon black steel air tank and manual paddle valves, plus a dual-needle gauge that reads up to 200 psi on the front and rear circuits.
Basic is the hands-on version. You raise and lower the car with the paddle valves, and the gauge keeps pressure visible while you work. The damping knob supplied sets the firmness of each strut, and the adjustable lower mounts make it possible to fine-tune height at any pressure. Basic raises the car in roughly 4 to 7 seconds.
Hoses, wiring and manuals are supplied, so the install is largely bolt-on, although a shop is the safer choice for most owners. After the first 500 miles or one month, recheck the system and test for leaks at 70 psi with soapy water. Deluxe, Pro Plus and Executive are different part numbers for this car, so confirm the level and then check the year, make and model checker. The IS250 and GS350 are also listed for this system.
Supported features
36 levels of damping adjustment let you dial in the air struts. Insert the included damping knob and turn softer (counterclockwise) or stiffer (clockwise).
Air bags are engineered to match the vehicle. Sleeve-type and double-bellow bags are used depending on the OEM suspension design.
Like KSport coilovers, the struts allow fine-tuning of ride height at any pressure through an adjustable lower mount.
Chosen for reliability and performance; the single 444C can raise the car from lowest to maximum height in as little as four seconds. Airtech Basic and Deluxe raise in 4–7 seconds; Pro Plus and Executive raise faster, in 2–5 seconds.
Paddle valves control front and rear bags; the dual-needle gauge mounts beside the switches so pressure is always visible.
Camber-adjustable top mounts can be added on certain MacPherson-strut applications.
