Lowering or raising an IS-F from 2008 to 2013 becomes a simpler job with this Airtech Basic system. Four application-specific air struts, a Viair 444C compressor, a 5-gallon black steel tank and manual paddle valves make up the core kit, and each strut carries 36-way damping for firmness control.
Paddle valves feed the front and rear bags separately, and the dual-needle gauge, rated to 200 psi, lets you set each side by eye. Ride height can be fine-tuned at any pressure through the adjustable lower mounts. The Viair 444C is a single compressor, and at this level the car raises in roughly 4 to 7 seconds.
Camber-adjustable top mounts can be added on certain MacPherson-strut applications, so ask whether they apply to the IS-F before buying. Hoses, wiring and manuals come in the box, and professional installation is recommended. Recheck after the first 500 miles or one month. Supported features
36 levels of damping adjustment let you dial in the air struts. Insert the included damping knob and turn softer (counterclockwise) or stiffer (clockwise).
Air bags are engineered to match the vehicle. Sleeve-type and double-bellow bags are used depending on the OEM suspension design.
Like KSport coilovers, the struts allow fine-tuning of ride height at any pressure through an adjustable lower mount.
