The Kontrol Pro is the everyday option for a 1998 to 2005 Lexus GS430 (JZS161). Its four assembled coilovers carry 18.6 kg/mm springs up front and 9.8 kg/mm in the rear, and each damper has its own 36-level damping knob. Set it to full soft for comfortable daily driving, or firm compression and rebound when you want the car to feel tighter.
A monotube body keeps oil and gas apart, which helps the damper shed heat more evenly and makes the damping adjustment finer. The adjustable lower mount lets you choose ride height without giving up shock travel. Where this application uses a pillowball upper mount, camber can be dialed in, and a dust boot with the bump stop built inside protects the damper seal.
Use the spring perch only where the layout has no adjustable lower mount, and make sure both spanner wrenches lock each collar. Plan on a professional alignment after the install. The Kontrol Pro is also listed for the GS300 and GS400, but confirm your own car against the year, make and model checker.

Mounts, collars, and spring perches are machined from 6061-T6 billet aluminum for a lightweight, durable, corrosion-resistant build. Steel shock bodies are zinc-plated for added protection from corrosion.
A dust boot is standard on every Kontrol Pro coilover to protect the damper seal, with the bump stop integrated inside it — more efficient, and less prone to crumbling than a separate bump stop.

Installation
Set ride height with the adjustable lower mount where the application has one; use the spring perch only where the application-specific layout has no adjustable lower mount. Lock every collar with both spanner wrenches. Start damping 18 clicks counterclockwise from full stiff and adjust from there. Professional setup and alignment are required after installation; on MacPherson fronts, establish baseline camber at the elongated lower-mount hole before fine adjustment at the upper plate.
