The slotted version for the 1998-2005 Lexus GS400 JZS161 uses 3-piston Slimline calipers on 13 in two-piece slotted rotors at the front. It is a clean-faced option for owners who want front stopping with slots instead of drilled holes. Because the rotors are slotted, the rotor face is the main visible difference from the drilled version.
Included are two front Slimline calipers, two slotted rotors with aluminum center bells, and SC5 street brake pads. The one-piece billet aluminum calipers are described as keeping even thickness across the block, and caliper color is chosen during configuration.
The OEM handbrake will not function with this kit, a point worth settling before installation. Run the year, make and model checker, then compare BKLX050-332SO with the cross-drilled part BKLX050-332CO. The 17 in or larger wheel note is a planning rule, so measure clearance against the barrel and spokes.

Installation
Bolt-on installation with the supplied brackets; no vehicle modification on most applications. After fitting, bed the pads in: on a clear road, ten light-to-medium stops from 30–45 mph, three seconds each, at least a quarter mile apart. Some noise before the brakes warm up is normal for big brake kits.
Brake system support and bed-in procedureWarranty & service
12-month limited warranty to the original purchaser against defects in materials and workmanship. Racing use, exterior finish and improperly installed or modified parts are not covered; keep your original invoice for any claim. Small surface cracks on cross-drilled rotors are normal wear and not a defect. Replacement pads, rotors, lines and hardware are sold individually.
