The 1998 to 2005 Lexus GS400 (JZS161) gets the Kontrol Plus 2-Way system, which steps up from the Kontrol Pro in both spring stiffness and damping. Front springs are rated 18.6 kg/mm and rear springs 9.8 kg/mm, and the damping is 60 to 150 percent firmer than the Kontrol Pro kit, with springs running 2 to 3 kg stiffer.
The two-way adjustment is what separates this kit. Damping has 36 levels at the top of each damper, and a second set of 24 nitrogen levels sits at the bottom of the external reservoir, so rebound, compression and gas pressure can be tuned on their own. That gives 864 possible settings, enough to move between a comfortable street setup and a firmer one for spirited runs.
Pillowball mounts on MacPherson fronts and the adjustable lower mount let you set camber and ride height without losing travel. Lock each collar with both spanner wrenches, start damping 18 clicks from full stiff, and have the car aligned after installation. Verify fit with the year, make and model checker first.

Installation
Set ride height with the adjustable lower mount where the application has one; use the spring perch only where the application-specific layout has no adjustable lower mount. Lock every collar with both spanner wrenches. Start damping 18 clicks counterclockwise from full stiff and adjust from there. Professional setup and alignment are required after installation; on MacPherson fronts, establish baseline camber at the elongated lower-mount hole before fine adjustment at the upper plate.
