This CIN020-KP Kontrol Pro kit targets the 2014-2015 Infiniti Q40 sedan with RWD, sprung at 12 kg/mm front and 6.3 kg/mm rear. This is a true rear coilover setup, so the rear arrangement should be checked against the car before the kit is fitted.
Every damper has one knob with 36 levels of adjustment, from comfortable settings for the road to firmer ones for spirited driving. The adjustable lower mount lowers the car while keeping full shock travel, and the monotube, high-pressure body is designed to shed heat and keep damping predictable. Mounts and collars are 6061-T6 aluminum, and each damper seal has a dust boot.
Set height at the lower mount, lock every collar with both spanner wrenches, and begin the damping 18 clicks counterclockwise from full stiff. The G37 coupe and sedan, the Q60 and G25, and the 370Z are also listed for this kit, so confirm your exact year and body style with the fitment checker.

Applications for MacPherson-strut suspension typically use a pillowball upper mount. The bearing design resists the noise common to other coilovers, and steering feel and response improve.
Most Kontrol Pro applications adjust ride height independently of shock and spring travel, so you can set your stance without risking bottoming out the shock.
Oil and gas stay separated within the cylinder. Compared with twin-tube construction, a monotube design dissipates heat faster and more evenly, allows finer damping adjustment, and resists aeration and cavitation.
Mounts, collars, and spring perches are machined from 6061-T6 billet aluminum for a lightweight, durable, corrosion-resistant build. Steel shock bodies are zinc-plated for added protection from corrosion.
A dust boot is standard on every Kontrol Pro coilover to protect the damper seal, with the bump stop integrated inside it — more efficient, and less prone to crumbling than a separate bump stop.

Installation
Set ride height with the adjustable lower mount where the application has one; use the spring perch only where the application-specific layout has no adjustable lower mount. Lock every collar with both spanner wrenches. Start damping 18 clicks counterclockwise from full stiff and adjust from there. Professional setup and alignment are required after installation; on MacPherson fronts, establish baseline camber at the elongated lower-mount hole before fine adjustment at the upper plate.
