Product details
The Version RR Road Race kit for the Honda Del Sol is specified here for 1996 to 1997 cars, with springs of 20 kg/mm front and 18 kg/mm rear. It is a coilover for people who actually track the car: valving is race-oriented, the shock stroke is 20 to 30 mm shorter than street versions, and the bumpstops are upgraded to stop the shock from bottoming over uneven pavement.
On a car like this, the adjustable lower mount is the key feature, letting you lower the car while keeping full shock travel. Dampers have 36 levels of adjustment with one knob per damper, and the page recommends full soft for normal street driving. The monotube pressurized design helps with heat, and 6061-T6 aluminum collars and perches are protected alongside zinc-plated shock bodies. Inside the box are four assembled coilovers, pillowball upper mounts with front camber adjustment, knobs and spanner wrenches. Begin with damping 18 clicks counterclockwise from full stiff. The page also lists 1992 to 1995 Del Sol, Civic and Integra DC2 entries, so confirm which applies to you with the fitment checker.
Supported features
36 levels of damping adjustment. Set full soft for a comfortable cruising setting for normal driving.
Version RR kits include upgraded bumpstops to prevent the shock from bottoming out over uneven pavement or harsh road conditions.
Aggressive spring rates and valving with a 20–30 mm shorter shock stroke. Choose proven spring rates or your own custom rates; the shocks are valved to what you select.
Many MacPherson applications have pillowball upper mounts; the patented bearing design combats noise and improves steering feel and response.
Oil and gas stay separated within the cylinder for faster heat dissipation, finer damping adjustment, and consistent ride quality.
Mounts, collars, and spring perches are machined from 6061-T6 billet aluminum; steel shock bodies are zinc-plated for added protection from corrosion.

Installation
Set ride height with the adjustable lower mount where the application has one; use the spring perch only where the application-specific layout has no adjustable lower mount. Lock every collar with both spanner wrenches. Start damping 18 clicks counterclockwise from full stiff and adjust from there. Professional setup and alignment are required after installation; on MacPherson fronts, establish baseline camber at the elongated lower-mount hole before fine adjustment at the upper plate.
