The Kontrol Sport coilover is built for the 2008 to 2012 Honda Accord 6 cylinder, the one approved application for CHD231-SP. Its springs are rated 20 kg/mm front and 8.7 kg/mm rear, and each damper has a monotube high-pressure body with 36 levels of damping adjustment on one knob. The valving is 30% stiffer than the Kontrol Pro, which makes this the firmer of the two.
On MacPherson-strut fronts the upper mounts are pillowball units with camber adjustment, so you can set alignment after lowering without buying a separate camber kit. Mounts, collars and spring perches are 6061-T6 billet aluminum, and the shock bodies are zinc plated. Most applications adjust ride height at the lower mount without giving up shock travel, so the car can sit low without bottoming the shock. The same coilovers are also listed for the 2009 to 2013 Acura TSX and the 2010 to 2015 Crosstour in FWD and AWD form. Confirm fitment with the year, make and model checker before ordering.

Oil and gas stay separated within the cylinder. Compared with twin-tube construction, a monotube dissipates heat faster and more evenly, allows finer damping adjustment, and resists aeration and cavitation for consistent ride quality.
Many MacPherson-strut applications use pillowball top mounts front and rear, installing to OEM specifications. The patented mount adds adjustability, combats noise, and sharpens steering feel and response.
Most applications adjust ride height without losing suspension travel, so you reach the height you want without bottoming out the shock. Separate rear shock-and-spring applications adjust at the spring perch and lower mount.
KSport's advanced upper pillowball mount is available on many applications, giving separate camber and caster adjustment for alignment work and removing the need for a separate camber kit.
Mounts, collars, and spring perches are machined from 6061-T6 billet aluminum for a lightweight, durable, corrosion-resistant build. Steel shock bodies are zinc-plated for added protection from corrosion.

Installation
Set ride height with the adjustable lower mount where the application has one; use the spring perch only where the application-specific layout has no adjustable lower mount. Lock every collar with both spanner wrenches. Start damping 18 clicks counterclockwise from full stiff and adjust from there. Professional setup and alignment are required after installation; on MacPherson fronts, establish baseline camber at the elongated lower-mount hole before fine adjustment at the upper plate.
