Monotube High Pressure Design Reduces Oil Leakage
All Ksport coilover systems utilize a Monotube design, with oil and gas separated within the cylinder. Compared to the twin tube design, the monotube holds more fluid, has better heat dissipation, and improves the responsiveness of the damper. Additionally, aeration and cavitation issues are a lot less common with this design, resulting in a more consistent ride quality.
Camber Adjustment on Many Models
Most of our applications for vehicles with MacPherson type suspension will have the ability to adjust camber via the top mounts. This is extremely helpful when you need to dial in your camber for reduced tire wear or add more negative camber to aid in aggressive wheel and tire fitments. NOTE: Camber adjustment is not available on all models with pillowball upper mounts.
Adjustable Spring Perch for Height Adjustment
Most applications utilize an adjustable lower mount which means height adjustability without losing suspension travel. Users can easily achieve desired ride height without worrying about bottoming out the shock. For vehicles that have a separate rear shock and spring, or a “hi-low kit”, height adjustment is available via the spring perch and the lower mount of the shock. This allows vehicles with this set up to still go as low, if not lower, than true coilovers.
Pillowball Top Mount for Increased Steering Feel
Many of our applications for vehicles with MacPherson type suspension utilize Ksport’s patented upper pillowball mounts which can be installed and setup to OEM specifications. These mounts offer the same level of adjustability and performance and allow for compliance that is often required from high-demand strut applications. Additionally, these mounts combat noise, increase steering feel and response, and offer camber and caster adjustment on many applications.
Aerospace Quality Aluminum Components
Most pieces in our coilover systems, including mounts, collars, and spring perches, are designed from 6061-T6 Billet Aluminum. This results in lightweight, durable, and rust resistant components. Steel shock bodies electroplated with Zinc resist rust and protect from the elements. Additionally, kits include an anti-rust paste packet for added protection to key areas of the coilover.
Adjustable Lower Mount Allowing Maximum Suspension Travel
Most of our coilovers feature the ability to adjust your ride height without affecting the shock and spring travel. This way you can set your desired ride height without having to worry about bottoming out the shock. Ride height can typically be lowered ½ to 4 inches depending on application.
Dust Boot to Protect Damper Seal
Dust boots are standard on all coilovers. We also integrate the bump stop inside the dust boot. This is more efficient and is less likely to crumble to pieces and deteriorate like other designs.
