Version RR Road Race coilovers are set up for the 2004 to 2012 Volvo V50, with 16 kg/mm springs at both the front and rear. All four assembled coilovers are sprung and valved for this application. The rates are aggressive, and the shock stroke runs 20 to 30 mm shorter than street kits, so this system is aimed at track work.
You can choose proven rates or your own custom rates, and the shocks are valved to whichever you select. Damping has 36 levels of adjustment with one knob per damper. Upgraded bumpstops are fitted to keep the shock from bottoming out on uneven pavement. Begin with the damping knobs at 18 clicks counterclockwise from full stiff.
The adjustable lower mount keeps full shock travel while you lower the car, and the pillowball upper mounts add camber adjustment on MacPherson-strut fronts. The Volvo S40 is also listed for this kit. Plan on professional setup and alignment after installation, and check fitment with the year, make and model checker first.

Installation
Set ride height with the adjustable lower mount where the application has one; use the spring perch only where the application-specific layout has no adjustable lower mount. Lock every collar with both spanner wrenches. Start damping 18 clicks counterclockwise from full stiff and adjust from there. Professional setup and alignment are required after installation; on MacPherson fronts, establish baseline camber at the elongated lower-mount hole before fine adjustment at the upper plate.
