Product details
Volvo V40 owners from 1995 to 2004 do not often get a big brake option, and the Slimline front kit fills that gap with three-piston calipers designed to sit inside wheels that offer limited clearance. A single-sided piston arrangement keeps the look of a multi-piston caliper without the bulk.
The rotors measure 13 inches (330 mm), are slotted, and use a two-piece construction with aluminum center bells; the page claims such rotors are commonly up to 50 percent lighter than OEM rotors of the same size. Look at your wheels first. The page offers 17 inch or larger as a planning rule only, about 4 inches over the rotor, and tells you to confirm the KSport template against the wheel barrel and spokes. Expect a complete front package: calipers, floating discs, SC5 street pads, braided stainless lines, bracket set and hardware. It works with the OEM master cylinder and ABS, but the OEM handbrake will not function. Bed in the pads with ten light-to-medium stops from 30 to 45 mph. Installation
Bolt-on installation with the supplied brackets; no vehicle modification on most applications. After fitting, bed the pads in: on a clear road, ten light-to-medium stops from 30–45 mph, three seconds each, at least a quarter mile apart. Some noise before the brakes warm up is normal for big brake kits.

Racing use, exterior finish and improperly installed or modified parts are not covered; keep your original invoice for any claim. Small surface cracks on cross-drilled rotors are normal wear and not a defect. Replacement pads, rotors, lines and hardware are sold individually.
