Version RR Road Race coilovers are set for the 1974 to 1985 Volkswagen Rabbit MK1 with 12 kg/mm springs in front and 9 kg/mm at the rear. Four assembled coilovers are sprung and valved for that application, and the aggressive rates come with a shock stroke 20 to 30 mm shorter than street kits.
Custom rates are available, and the shocks are valved to whichever set you select. Damping has 36 levels with one knob per damper, and full soft gives a comfortable cruise for normal driving. Upgraded bumpstops help keep the shock from bottoming out over uneven pavement.
Adjustable lower mounts keep full travel while the car is lowered, and pillowball top mounts carry camber adjustment on MacPherson-strut fronts. Plan on a professional setup and alignment after installation, then confirm the year, make and model against the checker before buying.

Installation
Set ride height with the adjustable lower mount where the application has one; use the spring perch only where the application-specific layout has no adjustable lower mount. Lock every collar with both spanner wrenches. Start damping 18 clicks counterclockwise from full stiff and adjust from there. Professional setup and alignment are required after installation; on MacPherson fronts, establish baseline camber at the elongated lower-mount hole before fine adjustment at the upper plate.
