The Kontrol Pro coilover for the 2006 to 2009 Volkswagen Rabbit comes as four assembled coilovers, sprung and valved for this application. Springs are 9 kg/mm at the front and 4.5 kg/mm at the rear, and each damper gives 36 levels of adjustment. The monotube, high-pressure body keeps oil and gas separated inside the cylinder.
Application notes for this Rabbit fit call for adjustable front endlinks. The adjustable lower mount keeps full shock travel, a dust boot protects the damper seal, and the pillowball upper mounts carry camber adjustment on MacPherson-strut fronts.

Mounts, collars, and spring perches are machined from 6061-T6 billet aluminum for a lightweight, durable, corrosion-resistant build. Steel shock bodies are zinc-plated for added protection from corrosion.
A dust boot is standard on every Kontrol Pro coilover to protect the damper seal, with the bump stop integrated inside it — more efficient, and less prone to crumbling than a separate bump stop.

Installation
Set ride height with the adjustable lower mount where the application has one; use the spring perch only where the application-specific layout has no adjustable lower mount. Lock every collar with both spanner wrenches. Start damping 18 clicks counterclockwise from full stiff and adjust from there. Professional setup and alignment are required after installation; on MacPherson fronts, establish baseline camber at the elongated lower-mount hole before fine adjustment at the upper plate.
