Product details
Eight-piston Procomp calipers clamp two 13 in (330 mm) two-piece cross-drilled rotors on this front kit for the 1999-2005 Volkswagen Jetta MK4. Aluminum center bells are fitted, and the page lists a single approved application.
The page lists the MK4 Jetta VR6 with a two-piece OE caliper, and no other model, as the fit. The Procomp series text says 8-pot calipers are used on 13 in and 14 in systems and that the opposed-piston layout improves pad wear over OEM. SC1 street brake pads, stainless-steel braided lines and CNC-machined caliper mounting brackets with hardware are included.
Verify your Jetta with the year, make and model checker before buying, and match part number BKVW040-831CO to the front system being replaced. The page gives 17 in or larger as a wheel planning rule, roughly 4 in over the rotor, so compare that against your barrel and spokes.
Supported features
Lightweight 6-pot aluminum calipers are standard on 11 in and 12 in front systems; 8-pot calipers on 13 in and 14 in. The opposed-piston design greatly improves pad wear and caliper rigidity over OEM.
Lightweight 2-pot aluminum calipers are standard on 11 in and 12 in rear kits; 4-pot on 13 in and 14 in systems.
Two-piece rotors provide light weight, fade-free performance and grip on the track with comfortable, easy operation under normal driving.
CNC-machined carbon steel brackets let the larger calipers bolt to the OEM caliper bracket location.
Cross-drilled rotors run cooler and are recommended for daily-driven vehicles; slotted rotors are recommended for vehicles that see more track use.
NAOC ceramic street pads (194–1022°F operating range) reduce dust and rotor wear; DOT-compliant stainless braided lines resist expansion for a firmer, quicker pedal.
Standard painted orange, red, black, and yellow; premium high-polish silver, gold, and titanium; glassy and hard-anodized finishes; over 20,000 custom colors on request.

Street pads are standard; race pads, titanium or twin-colour anodized center bells are optional upgrades.

Installation
Bolt-on installation with the supplied brackets; no vehicle modification on most applications. After fitting, bed the pads in: on a clear road, ten light-to-medium stops from 30–45 mph, three seconds each, at least a quarter mile apart. Some noise before the brakes warm up is normal for big brake kits.
Brake system support and bed-in procedureWarranty & service
12-month limited warranty to the original purchaser against defects in materials and workmanship. Racing use, exterior finish and improperly installed or modified parts are not covered; keep your original invoice for any claim. Small surface cracks on cross-drilled rotors are normal wear and not a defect. Replacement pads, rotors, lines and hardware are sold individually.
