Rally-inspired, the Asphalt Rally Spec AR coilovers for the 1999 to 2005 Volkswagen Jetta MK4 use 12 kg/mm front and 6 kg/mm rear springs. Extended-stroke inverted shocks put the gas and oil chamber away from the knuckle, which reduces heat transfer and unsprung weight, and the 55 mm bodies add oil capacity for cooling.
The rear uses a true rear coilover design. Each damper offers 36 levels, moving compression and rebound together, with the lower mount setting height without cutting shock travel. Strengthened steel lower mounts come standard on MacPherson applications. Four assembled coilovers, pillowball upper mounts with camber adjustment on MacPherson fronts, knobs and spanner wrenches are in the box. The Golf MK4 (1999 to 2005) is also listed. Check your car with the fitment checker. Professional setup and alignment are required after installation, and every collar should be locked with both spanner wrenches.
Supported features
Gravel Rally springs range from 250 mm to 270 mm with extended cylinder length and piston stroke, greatly improving handling over uneven and bumpy roads. Height range varies per vehicle and does not exceed OE ride height.
Asphalt Rally uses inverted shocks on many MacPherson applications, moving the gas/oil chamber away from the knuckle and brakes to reduce heat transfer and unsprung weight.

Gravel Rally kits use unique hardened-rubber pillowball top mounts on MacPherson applications to absorb repeated impacts from loose surfaces.
Simultaneous compression and rebound adjustment across 36 levels, with carefully selected per-application spring rates and damping to stabilize the car over uneven roads.
Inverted applications use 55 mm bodies for added oil capacity and cooling under sustained stage loads.

Installation
Set ride height with the adjustable lower mount where the application has one; use the spring perch only where the application-specific layout has no adjustable lower mount. Lock every collar with both spanner wrenches. Start damping 18 clicks counterclockwise from full stiff and adjust from there. Professional setup and alignment are required after installation; on MacPherson fronts, establish baseline camber at the elongated lower-mount hole before fine adjustment at the upper plate.
