The MK4 Jetta (1999 to 2005) is a popular canvas for air suspension, and the Airtech Deluxe system gives it a middle path between simple manual valves and a fully automatic setup. It contains four air struts, a single Viair 444C compressor, a tank, two electronic switches and a wireless remote, so ride height changes do not need a trip to the trunk.
On the strut side, each corner offers 36 damping positions set with the supplied knob, and the lower mount is adjustable so you can fine-tune height at any pressure. The air bags are matched to the vehicle and its OEM suspension design. Plumbing finishes at a quick-disconnect plug, and hoses, wiring and manuals are provided. The 444C can reportedly lift the car from lowest to maximum in as little as four seconds.
If you want more control, there are Basic, Pro Plus and Executive part numbers for the same car, and camber-adjustable top mounts may be available on MacPherson-strut applications. Because the Golf MK4 appears as a compatible application, double-check which of the two you have with the fitment checker. Professional installation is recommended.
