For the 1999 to 2005 Jetta MK4, part number CVW040-ABA is the Basic complete system. Unlike the strut-only kit, this one brings everything needed: a Viair 444C compressor, a 5-gallon black steel tank, paddle valves and a gauge.
Operation is manual. Two paddle valves manage the front and rear bags, and a dual-needle 200 psi gauge displays the pressures. KSport says the single 444C can raise the car from lowest to maximum height in as little as four seconds, and its height range is stated as 0 to 120/200 mm depending on the vehicle. The four struts add 36-way damping with the supplied knob and adjustable lower mounts.
The Golf MK4 from 1999 to 2005 is also listed. Because the platform has several engine variants, treat the year/make/model checker as the final say. Camber-adjustable top mounts may be offered on certain MacPherson-strut applications. Other management levels exist as separate part numbers, and the strut-only kit is listed separately for people who already own a controller.
Supported features
36 levels of damping adjustment let you dial in the air struts. Insert the included damping knob and turn softer (counterclockwise) or stiffer (clockwise).
Air bags are engineered to match the vehicle. Sleeve-type and double-bellow bags are used depending on the OEM suspension design.
Like KSport coilovers, the struts allow fine-tuning of ride height at any pressure through an adjustable lower mount.
