Product details
Small front-drive hatchbacks like the 1985 to 1999 Toyota Starlet can be surprisingly quick in a drag lane, and this Version DR kit is tuned for that job. The listing covers the EP70, EP81 and EP92 chassis in front-wheel-drive form. Springs are 5.3 kg/mm in front with a stiffer 9.8 kg/mm at the rear, a split the page describes as chosen to maximize traction and regulate weight transfer, with valving custom set for drag racing.
Think of the dampers as a launch tool: 36 levels of adjustment let you stiffen things for a pass and then set full soft for the return road. The pillowball top mount, with its patented bearing design, is said to reduce noise and sharpen steering feel. Billet 6061-T6 aluminum mounts, collars and perches finish the kit, and a monotube design keeps behavior consistent pass after pass. In the box: four assembled coilovers, upper mounts, knobs and wrenches. Paseo (1992 to 1999) and Tercel (1995 to 2000) are also listed; check fitment for your car first.
Supported features
Custom valved for drag racing with spring rates chosen to maximize traction and regulate weight transfer.
36 levels of damping adjustment. Set full soft for a comfortable cruising setting between passes.
Many MacPherson applications have pillowball upper mounts; the patented bearing design combats noise and improves steering feel and response.
Most applications adjust ride height without affecting shock and spring travel.
Oil and gas stay separated within the cylinder for faster heat dissipation, finer damping adjustment, and consistent behavior pass after pass.
Mounts, collars, and spring perches are machined from 6061-T6 billet aluminum; steel shock bodies are zinc-plated for added protection from corrosion.

Installation
Set ride height with the adjustable lower mount where the application has one; use the spring perch only where the application-specific layout has no adjustable lower mount. Lock every collar with both spanner wrenches. Start damping 18 clicks counterclockwise from full stiff and adjust from there. Professional setup and alignment are required after installation; on MacPherson fronts, establish baseline camber at the elongated lower-mount hole before fine adjustment at the upper plate.
Coilover setup, height and damping guidesWarranty & service
