Product details
For the 1988 to 2002 Toyota Corolla, the Asphalt Rally Spec AR coilovers bring a rally-derived design to a car that rarely gets this kind of hardware. The page lists two Corolla ranges, 1988 to 1997 and 1998 to 2002, which is worth reading closely when you choose. Springs are rated 8.7 kg/mm front and 7.5 kg/mm rear, and the shocks use an extended stroke, with inverted construction on many MacPherson applications to reduce heat near the brakes and trim unsprung weight.
Large 55 mm bodies add oil capacity for cooling under sustained stage loads, and compression and rebound adjust together across 36 levels, which lets you calm the car down for uneven roads. Strengthened steel lower mounts are standard on MacPherson applications, and the adjustable lower mount sets height without giving up shock travel. Included are four coilovers, upper mounts with pillowball camber adjustment on MacPherson fronts, damping knobs and spanner wrenches. Always confirm which Corolla generation you own before ordering.
Supported features
Gravel Rally springs range from 250 mm to 270 mm with extended cylinder length and piston stroke, greatly improving handling over uneven and bumpy roads. Height range varies per vehicle and does not exceed OE ride height.
Asphalt Rally uses inverted shocks on many MacPherson applications, moving the gas/oil chamber away from the knuckle and brakes to reduce heat transfer and unsprung weight.
Strengthened steel lower mounts are standard on MacPherson applications; Gravel Rally adds heavy-duty steel upper mounts on most applications. Wishbone and multi-link applications use the standard aluminum mounts.
Gravel Rally kits use unique hardened-rubber pillowball top mounts on MacPherson applications to absorb repeated impacts from loose surfaces.
Simultaneous compression and rebound adjustment across 36 levels, with carefully selected per-application spring rates and damping to stabilize the car over uneven roads.
Inverted applications use 55 mm bodies for added oil capacity and cooling under sustained stage loads.

Installation
Set ride height with the adjustable lower mount where the application has one; use the spring perch only where the application-specific layout has no adjustable lower mount. Lock every collar with both spanner wrenches. Start damping 18 clicks counterclockwise from full stiff and adjust from there. Professional setup and alignment are required after installation; on MacPherson fronts, establish baseline camber at the elongated lower-mount hole before fine adjustment at the upper plate.
