Product details
A 2017 to 2018 Toyota 86 is light enough that stopping power is rarely the limit on the street, but track days change that, and this front Procomp kit is the sort of answer the platform attracts. Eight-piston billet aluminum calipers clamp 14 inch (356 mm) slotted two-piece rotors, and the slotted pattern is the one the page recommends for cars that see more track use.
Procomp comes with SC1 street pads, a NAOC ceramic compound with a stated operating range of 194 to 1022 degrees F that is meant to reduce dust and rotor wear. DOT-compliant stainless braided lines resist expansion for a firmer, quicker pedal. The two-piece rotors are described as light, fade-free and comfortable to live with in normal driving, and machined carbon steel brackets locate the calipers at the OEM position.
Large caliper choices come with large wheels, so check clearance with the KSport template before buying. Caliper finishes, pad upgrades and center bell trims are chosen on the page, and a cross-drilled version suits daily use. The Toyota FR-S (2013 to 2018) is also listed; the year, make and model checker is the final word on fit.
Supported features
Lightweight 6-pot aluminum calipers are standard on 11 in and 12 in front systems; 8-pot calipers on 13 in and 14 in. The opposed-piston design greatly improves pad wear and caliper rigidity over OEM.
Lightweight 2-pot aluminum calipers are standard on 11 in and 12 in rear kits; 4-pot on 13 in and 14 in systems.
Two-piece rotors provide light weight, fade-free performance and grip on the track with comfortable, easy operation under normal driving.
CNC-machined carbon steel brackets let the larger calipers bolt to the OEM caliper bracket location.
Cross-drilled rotors run cooler and are recommended for daily-driven vehicles; slotted rotors are recommended for vehicles that see more track use.
NAOC ceramic street pads (194–1022°F operating range) reduce dust and rotor wear; DOT-compliant stainless braided lines resist expansion for a firmer, quicker pedal.
Standard painted orange, red, black, and yellow; premium high-polish silver, gold, and titanium; glassy and hard-anodized finishes; over 20,000 custom colors on request.

Installation
Bolt-on installation with the supplied brackets; no vehicle modification on most applications. After fitting, bed the pads in: on a clear road, ten light-to-medium stops from 30–45 mph, three seconds each, at least a quarter mile apart. Some noise before the brakes warm up is normal for big brake kits.
Brake system support and bed-in procedureWarranty & service
12-month limited warranty to the original purchaser against defects in materials and workmanship. Racing use, exterior finish and improperly installed or modified parts are not covered; keep your original invoice for any claim. Small surface cracks on cross-drilled rotors are normal wear and not a defect. Replacement pads, rotors, lines and hardware are sold individually.
