Product details
Version RR is the road-race coilover, and the 2015 to 2018 Subaru WRX, STI included, is a natural candidate for it. Springs measure 16 kg/mm at all four corners and the valving is described as aggressive, with custom rates available if you know what your setup needs. The shock stroke is 20 to 30 mm shorter than street kits, so this is for a car that stays on smooth pavement or a circuit.
Because the stroke is shorter, the kit adds upgraded bumpstops to keep the shock from bottoming out over uneven pavement or harsh conditions. Damping still has 36 levels from one knob per damper. If the WRX also has to commute, set the knobs full soft for a comfortable cruising setting and firm them up on track days.
The top mounts on MacPherson fronts use a patented pillowball bearing, credited with fighting noise and improving steering feel. A monotube high-pressure design separates oil and gas, and the billet 6061-T6 aluminum parts sit on zinc-plated steel bodies. The box has four assembled coilovers, knobs and spanner wrenches. Get a professional alignment. An Impreza WRX STI (2008 to 2014, GRB) is also listed; verify fitment with the year, make and model checker.
Supported features
36 levels of damping adjustment. Set full soft for a comfortable cruising setting for normal driving.
Version RR kits include upgraded bumpstops to prevent the shock from bottoming out over uneven pavement or harsh road conditions.
Aggressive spring rates and valving with a 20–30 mm shorter shock stroke. Choose proven spring rates or your own custom rates; the shocks are valved to what you select.
Many MacPherson applications have pillowball upper mounts; the patented bearing design combats noise and improves steering feel and response.
Oil and gas stay separated within the cylinder for faster heat dissipation, finer damping adjustment, and consistent ride quality.
Mounts, collars, and spring perches are machined from 6061-T6 billet aluminum; steel shock bodies are zinc-plated for added protection from corrosion.

Installation
Set ride height with the adjustable lower mount where the application has one; use the spring perch only where the application-specific layout has no adjustable lower mount. Lock every collar with both spanner wrenches. Start damping 18 clicks counterclockwise from full stiff and adjust from there. Professional setup and alignment are required after installation; on MacPherson fronts, establish baseline camber at the elongated lower-mount hole before fine adjustment at the upper plate.
