Product details
Launching a 2015 to 2018 Subaru WRX hard is largely a weight-transfer problem, and the Version DR Drag Race coilovers are valved for exactly that. KSport builds them on its Version RR road-race platform, then custom valves each kit for the strip, choosing spring rates of 6.7 kg/mm front and 7.2 kg/mm rear to maximize traction and regulate weight transfer. The stated goals are a lower E.T. and quicker 60-ft times.
Between passes you can turn the dampers to full soft for a comfortable cruise back to the staging lanes; there are 36 levels, set by one knob per damper. Mounts, collars and spring perches are machined from 6061-T6 billet aluminum, and the steel shock bodies are zinc-plated. Your box has four assembled coilovers, pillowball upper mounts with camber adjustment, knobs and spanner wrenches. The listing covers the WRX including STI for these years plus an earlier STI chassis (GRB, 2008 to 2014), so verify your car with the fitment checker.
Supported features
Custom valved for drag racing with spring rates chosen to maximize traction and regulate weight transfer.
36 levels of damping adjustment. Set full soft for a comfortable cruising setting between passes.
Many MacPherson applications have pillowball upper mounts; the patented bearing design combats noise and improves steering feel and response.
Most applications adjust ride height without affecting shock and spring travel.
Oil and gas stay separated within the cylinder for faster heat dissipation, finer damping adjustment, and consistent behavior pass after pass.
Mounts, collars, and spring perches are machined from 6061-T6 billet aluminum; steel shock bodies are zinc-plated for added protection from corrosion.

Installation
Set ride height with the adjustable lower mount where the application has one; use the spring perch only where the application-specific layout has no adjustable lower mount. Lock every collar with both spanner wrenches. Start damping 18 clicks counterclockwise from full stiff and adjust from there. Professional setup and alignment are required after installation; on MacPherson fronts, establish baseline camber at the elongated lower-mount hole before fine adjustment at the upper plate.
