Slide Kontrol Drift coilovers are made for drifting on the 2008 to 2014 Subaru Impreza WRX (GH8, sedan and hatchback). The four assembled coilovers are sprung and valved for this application, with front springs at 12 kg/mm and rear springs at 9.8 kg/mm. The stiffer front rate is there to help the car initiate a slide.
Damping is adjustable at 36 levels with one knob per damper. The shock damping is set roughly 30 to 50 percent stiffer than Kontrol Pro, a difference worth knowing if you switch between kits. Start 18 clicks counterclockwise from full stiff and adjust from there, and use full soft when you want a calm setting for normal driving between sessions.
The 55 mm inverted shock is paired with steel lower mounts and a pillowball top mount with camber adjustment, so camber can be set at the top plate. Some applications include helper springs, so check your kit before assembly. Have a professional handle setup and alignment after installation, and confirm fitment with the year, make and model checker.

Installation
Set ride height with the adjustable lower mount where the application has one; use the spring perch only where the application-specific layout has no adjustable lower mount. Lock every collar with both spanner wrenches. Start damping 18 clicks counterclockwise from full stiff and adjust from there. Professional setup and alignment are required after installation; on MacPherson fronts, establish baseline camber at the elongated lower-mount hole before fine adjustment at the upper plate.
