Product details
The Asphalt Rally Spec AR kit for the 2004 to 2007 Scion xB (NCP31) is built around damper stroke and heat control. Springs are rated 7.5 kg/mm in front and 3.5 kg/mm in the rear, a front-heavy split that keeps the rear soft.
Details from the page explain the build. The AR design has an extended stroke, and MacPherson applications use an inverted 55 mm shock, which moves the gas and oil chamber away from the knuckle and brakes. That lowers heat transfer and unsprung weight, and the larger body carries more oil for sustained loads. Strengthened steel lower mounts are standard on MacPherson fronts. Damping adjusts compression and rebound together across 36 levels with one knob per damper.
Included are four assembled coilovers, upper mounts with camber adjustment on the front, damping knobs and spanner wrenches. Use the adjustable lower mount to set height, lock every collar with both wrenches and plan for a professional alignment. The 2004 to 2006 Scion xA is also named as compatible, so check your car with the year, make and model checker.
Supported features
Gravel Rally springs range from 250 mm to 270 mm with extended cylinder length and piston stroke, greatly improving handling over uneven and bumpy roads. Height range varies per vehicle and does not exceed OE ride height.
Asphalt Rally uses inverted shocks on many MacPherson applications, moving the gas/oil chamber away from the knuckle and brakes to reduce heat transfer and unsprung weight.
Strengthened steel lower mounts are standard on MacPherson applications; Gravel Rally adds heavy-duty steel upper mounts on most applications. Wishbone and multi-link applications use the standard aluminum mounts.
Gravel Rally kits use unique hardened-rubber pillowball top mounts on MacPherson applications to absorb repeated impacts from loose surfaces.
Simultaneous compression and rebound adjustment across 36 levels, with carefully selected per-application spring rates and damping to stabilize the car over uneven roads.
Inverted applications use 55 mm bodies for added oil capacity and cooling under sustained stage loads.

Installation
Set ride height with the adjustable lower mount where the application has one; use the spring perch only where the application-specific layout has no adjustable lower mount. Lock every collar with both spanner wrenches. Start damping 18 clicks counterclockwise from full stiff and adjust from there. Professional setup and alignment are required after installation; on MacPherson fronts, establish baseline camber at the elongated lower-mount hole before fine adjustment at the upper plate.
