Product details
Porsche 964 owners on the 1991 to 1994 cars with rear-wheel drive can use Kontrol Sport coilovers at 7.2 kg/mm front and 12 kg/mm rear. The valving is 30% stiffer than the Kontrol Pro, and the approved application is that 964 generation. Check the car with the year, make and model checker before you commit.
The body is monotube and high-pressure, so oil and gas stay separated within the cylinder. That layout cools more evenly and gives finer control over damping than a twin-tube design. It also resists aeration and cavitation, which keeps damping steady.
The adjustable lower mount keeps full shock travel while the car is lowered, and the spring perch is used only where the application has no lower mount. Many MacPherson-strut setups use pillowball top mounts front and rear, which install to OEM specifications.
Supported features
36 levels of damping adjustment let you dial the system in for handling and comfort. Adjustment alters compression and rebound together for effective, user-friendly setup changes.
Oil and gas stay separated within the cylinder. Compared with twin-tube construction, a monotube dissipates heat faster and more evenly, allows finer damping adjustment, and resists aeration and cavitation for consistent ride quality.
Many MacPherson-strut applications use pillowball top mounts front and rear, installing to OEM specifications. The patented mount adds adjustability, combats noise, and sharpens steering feel and response.
Most applications adjust ride height without losing suspension travel, so you reach the height you want without bottoming out the shock. Separate rear shock-and-spring applications adjust at the spring perch and lower mount.
KSport's advanced upper pillowball mount is available on many applications, giving separate camber and caster adjustment for alignment work and removing the need for a separate camber kit.
Mounts, collars, and spring perches are machined from 6061-T6 billet aluminum for a lightweight, durable, corrosion-resistant build. Steel shock bodies are zinc-plated for added protection from corrosion.

Installation
Set ride height with the adjustable lower mount where the application has one; use the spring perch only where the application-specific layout has no adjustable lower mount. Lock every collar with both spanner wrenches. Start damping 18 clicks counterclockwise from full stiff and adjust from there. Professional setup and alignment are required after installation; on MacPherson fronts, establish baseline camber at the elongated lower-mount hole before fine adjustment at the upper plate.
