Product details
On the 2004 to 2008 Nissan Maxima with the A34 chassis, Kontrol Pro coilovers come with 8.7 kg/mm front and 7.2 kg/mm rear springs. Each damper has 36 levels of adjustment set with one knob per damper, and the approved application is that Maxima. Run the year, make and model checker to check fit before you commit.
Full soft is a comfortable daily setting, while firming the compression and rebound suits the track, so one kit covers both moods. The monotube body sheds heat faster and more evenly than a twin-tube design, and it allows finer damping changes.
Ride height comes from the adjustable lower mount, which keeps full shock travel, and the pillowball upper mount on MacPherson-strut fronts offers camber adjustment for alignment after lowering. Set the car's height first, lock each collar with both spanner wrenches, and begin with damping 18 clicks counterclockwise from full stiff.
Supported features
Every KSport coilover offers 36 levels of damping adjustment. Set full soft for comfortable daily driving, or firm up the compression and rebound for the track.
Applications with a pillowball upper mount often include camber adjustment — useful for dialing in alignment after lowering, and it removes the need for a separate camber kit.
Applications for MacPherson-strut suspension typically use a pillowball upper mount. The bearing design resists the noise common to other coilovers, and steering feel and response improve.
Most Kontrol Pro applications adjust ride height independently of shock and spring travel, so you can set your stance without risking bottoming out the shock.
Oil and gas stay separated within the cylinder. Compared with twin-tube construction, a monotube design dissipates heat faster and more evenly, allows finer damping adjustment, and resists aeration and cavitation.
Mounts, collars, and spring perches are machined from 6061-T6 billet aluminum for a lightweight, durable, corrosion-resistant build. Steel shock bodies are zinc-plated for added protection from corrosion.
A dust boot is standard on every Kontrol Pro coilover to protect the damper seal, with the bump stop integrated inside it — more efficient, and less prone to crumbling than a separate bump stop.

Installation
Set ride height with the adjustable lower mount where the application has one; use the spring perch only where the application-specific layout has no adjustable lower mount. Lock every collar with both spanner wrenches. Start damping 18 clicks counterclockwise from full stiff and adjust from there. Professional setup and alignment are required after installation; on MacPherson fronts, establish baseline camber at the elongated lower-mount hole before fine adjustment at the upper plate.
