Product details
The Version RR Road Race coilovers are built for the 1992 to 1996 Mitsubishi Mirage with the CA4A chassis and front-wheel drive, and the Lancer of the same years is also listed. This is an aggressive race setup with 14 kg/mm springs at both ends. You can choose proven spring rates or supply your own custom rates, and the shocks are valved to what you select. Run the year, make and model checker so the fitment is confirmed before the order goes in.
The shock stroke is 20 to 30 mm shorter than street kits, and the 36 levels of damping let you set the car softly for normal driving or firm it up for the track. Upgraded bumpstops are included to keep the shock from bottoming out over uneven pavement or harsh road conditions. Monotube high-pressure bodies and pillowball top mounts with camber adjustment on MacPherson-strut fronts complete the build.
Ride height comes from the adjustable lower mount, which keeps full shock travel while you lower the car. Set it there, lock every collar with both spanner wrenches, and start damping 18 clicks counterclockwise from full stiff. Professional setup and alignment are required after installation, and on MacPherson fronts set baseline camber at the elongated lower-mount hole before fine tuning at the upper plate.
Supported features
36 levels of damping adjustment. Set full soft for a comfortable cruising setting for normal driving.
Version RR kits include upgraded bumpstops to prevent the shock from bottoming out over uneven pavement or harsh road conditions.
Aggressive spring rates and valving with a 20–30 mm shorter shock stroke. Choose proven spring rates or your own custom rates; the shocks are valved to what you select.
Many MacPherson applications have pillowball upper mounts; the patented bearing design combats noise and improves steering feel and response.
Oil and gas stay separated within the cylinder for faster heat dissipation, finer damping adjustment, and consistent ride quality.
Mounts, collars, and spring perches are machined from 6061-T6 billet aluminum; steel shock bodies are zinc-plated for added protection from corrosion.

Installation
Set ride height with the adjustable lower mount where the application has one; use the spring perch only where the application-specific layout has no adjustable lower mount. Lock every collar with both spanner wrenches. Start damping 18 clicks counterclockwise from full stiff and adjust from there. Professional setup and alignment are required after installation; on MacPherson fronts, establish baseline camber at the elongated lower-mount hole before fine adjustment at the upper plate.
