Compact cars rarely come with serious brakes, and the Supercomp front kit for the 1997 to 2001 Mitsubishi Mirage changes that with two eight-piston billet calipers and 13 inch (330 mm) two-piece slotted rotors. The rotors have aluminum center bells and a floating design so the outer ring can self-center in the caliper.
The package brings SC5 street pads, stainless braided lines, CNC-machined carbon steel brackets and hardware. Those brackets let the bigger calipers use the OEM caliper bracket location, and the kit works with the OEM master cylinder and ABS. Slotted rotors are recommended for more track use; the cross-drilled version of this kit is better for daily driving. Choose orange, red, yellow or black paint at no extra charge, and add race pads or center bell upgrades if you want them. Bed the pads in with ten light-to-medium stops. The 1997 to 2001 Lancer (CJ4A) is also listed; verify with the fitment checker.

Installation
Bolt-on installation with the supplied brackets; no vehicle modification on most applications. After fitting, bed the pads in: on a clear road, ten light-to-medium stops from 30–45 mph, three seconds each, at least a quarter mile apart. Some noise before the brakes warm up is normal for big brake kits.

12-month limited warranty to the original purchaser against defects in materials and workmanship. Racing use, exterior finish and improperly installed or modified parts are not covered; keep your original invoice for any claim. Small surface cracks on cross-drilled rotors are normal wear and not a defect. Replacement pads, rotors, lines and hardware are sold individually.
