Product details
The Kontrol Sport coilovers are built for the 1992 to 1996 Mitsubishi Mirage with the CA4A chassis and front-wheel drive, and the Lancer of the same years is also listed. Springs are rated 8.7 kg/mm at the front and 6.7 kg/mm at the rear, and the valving is 30% stiffer than the Kontrol Pro. Verify the year, make and model checker result before committing to this set.
Each damper is a monotube high-pressure design with 36 levels of adjustment, one knob per damper, and turning it changes compression and rebound together. Monotube construction keeps oil and gas separated inside the cylinder, which helps the damper shed heat more evenly and allows finer damping changes.
The adjustable lower mount keeps full shock travel while you lower the car, and the pillowball upper mount adds camber and caster adjustment on many applications, which can save the cost of a separate camber kit. Lock every collar with both spanner wrenches, start damping 18 clicks counterclockwise from full stiff, and have the car professionally aligned after installation.
Supported features
36 levels of damping adjustment let you dial the system in for handling and comfort. Adjustment alters compression and rebound together for effective, user-friendly setup changes.
Oil and gas stay separated within the cylinder. Compared with twin-tube construction, a monotube dissipates heat faster and more evenly, allows finer damping adjustment, and resists aeration and cavitation for consistent ride quality.
Many MacPherson-strut applications use pillowball top mounts front and rear, installing to OEM specifications. The patented mount adds adjustability, combats noise, and sharpens steering feel and response.
Most applications adjust ride height without losing suspension travel, so you reach the height you want without bottoming out the shock. Separate rear shock-and-spring applications adjust at the spring perch and lower mount.
KSport's advanced upper pillowball mount is available on many applications, giving separate camber and caster adjustment for alignment work and removing the need for a separate camber kit.
Mounts, collars, and spring perches are machined from 6061-T6 billet aluminum for a lightweight, durable, corrosion-resistant build. Steel shock bodies are zinc-plated for added protection from corrosion.

Installation
Set ride height with the adjustable lower mount where the application has one; use the spring perch only where the application-specific layout has no adjustable lower mount. Lock every collar with both spanner wrenches. Start damping 18 clicks counterclockwise from full stiff and adjust from there. Professional setup and alignment are required after installation; on MacPherson fronts, establish baseline camber at the elongated lower-mount hole before fine adjustment at the upper plate.
