The Kontrol Pro coilovers are built for the 1992 to 1996 Mitsubishi Mirage with the CA4A chassis and front-wheel drive, and the Lancer of the same years is also listed. They use a monotube high-pressure damper with 36 levels of adjustment on every damper, set with one knob per damper. Confirm fitment with the year, make and model checker before you order.
Ride height comes from the adjustable lower mount, which keeps full shock travel while you lower the car. Spring rates are 7.5 kg/mm at the front and 5.3 kg/mm at the rear. Full soft gives a comfortable setting for daily driving, and firming up the compression and rebound suits a track day.
The upper mounts are pillowball units with camber adjustment on MacPherson-strut fronts, which helps with alignment after lowering. A dust boot is standard on every Kontrol Pro coilover and protects the damper seal, with the bump stop built inside it. Lock every collar with both spanner wrenches, start damping 18 clicks counterclockwise from full stiff, and have the car professionally aligned after installation.

Oil and gas stay separated within the cylinder. Compared with twin-tube construction, a monotube design dissipates heat faster and more evenly, allows finer damping adjustment, and resists aeration and cavitation.
Mounts, collars, and spring perches are machined from 6061-T6 billet aluminum for a lightweight, durable, corrosion-resistant build. Steel shock bodies are zinc-plated for added protection from corrosion.
A dust boot is standard on every Kontrol Pro coilover to protect the damper seal, with the bump stop integrated inside it — more efficient, and less prone to crumbling than a separate bump stop.

Installation
Set ride height with the adjustable lower mount where the application has one; use the spring perch only where the application-specific layout has no adjustable lower mount. Lock every collar with both spanner wrenches. Start damping 18 clicks counterclockwise from full stiff and adjust from there. Professional setup and alignment are required after installation; on MacPherson fronts, establish baseline camber at the elongated lower-mount hole before fine adjustment at the upper plate.
