Version DR is the drag-strip coilover for a 1994 to 1998 Mitsubishi Galant. Four assembled coilovers arrive sprung and valved for the application, with 9.8 kg/mm front springs and 5.3 kg/mm rear springs, and the valving is customized for drag racing.
The kit is built on the Version RR road-race system. A 36-level damping knob on each damper lets the car sit at a comfortable cruising setting between passes and firm up for launch. Spring rates are chosen to maximize traction and regulate weight transfer, and the adjustable lower mount controls ride height without taking away shock travel.
Tighten each collar with both spanner wrenches and begin damping 18 clicks counterclockwise from full stiff. An alignment shop should set the car after installation, and on MacPherson fronts the baseline camber belongs at the elongated lower-mount hole. Use the year, make and model checker to confirm the fit first. The Eclipse from 1995 to 1999 is also listed for this kit.

Installation
Set ride height with the adjustable lower mount where the application has one; use the spring perch only where the application-specific layout has no adjustable lower mount. Lock every collar with both spanner wrenches. Start damping 18 clicks counterclockwise from full stiff and adjust from there. Professional setup and alignment are required after installation; on MacPherson fronts, establish baseline camber at the elongated lower-mount hole before fine adjustment at the upper plate.
