A 1998 to 2003 Mitsubishi Galant that wants a comfortable, adjustable coilover can take the Kontrol Pro kit. Its four assembled coilovers are sprung and valved for this car, with 8.7 kg/mm springs in front and 7.2 kg/mm at the rear.
Each damper has 36 levels of damping, so the setting can be soft for comfortable driving or firm for track use. The monotube body dissipates heat faster and more evenly than twin-tube designs and resists aeration. A dust boot with the bump stop built inside protects the damper seal.
Use the adjustable lower mount to set ride height without losing shock travel, and lock all collars with both spanner wrenches. Pillowball upper mounts on MacPherson fronts allow camber adjustment for alignment after lowering. Confirm the fit using the year, make and model checker. Mounts, collars, and spring perches are machined from 6061-T6 billet aluminum for a lightweight, durable, corrosion-resistant build. Steel shock bodies are zinc-plated for added protection from corrosion.
A dust boot is standard on every Kontrol Pro coilover to protect the damper seal, with the bump stop integrated inside it — more efficient, and less prone to crumbling than a separate bump stop.

Installation
Set ride height with the adjustable lower mount where the application has one; use the spring perch only where the application-specific layout has no adjustable lower mount. Lock every collar with both spanner wrenches. Start damping 18 clicks counterclockwise from full stiff and adjust from there. Professional setup and alignment are required after installation; on MacPherson fronts, establish baseline camber at the elongated lower-mount hole before fine adjustment at the upper plate.
