A 1994 to 1998 Mitsubishi Galant can be fitted with the Kontrol Pro coilover kit, which supplies four assembled coilovers sprung and valved for the car. Springs are 12 kg/mm up front and 6.7 kg/mm at the rear. It is a monotube coilover set intended for daily driving, with a firmer option available.
Each damper has 36 levels of adjustment. Full soft suits comfortable everyday driving, and firmer compression and rebound suit track use. The monotube body sheds heat faster and more evenly than twin-tube designs, and a dust boot with the bump stop built in protects the damper seal.
Set ride height with the adjustable lower mount, which keeps full shock travel while the car is lowered. Camber can be dialed in on the pillowball upper mount, which helps after lowering and removes the need for a separate camber kit. Check the fit with the year, make and model checker. The 1995 to 1999 Eclipse is also listed for this system.

Oil and gas stay separated within the cylinder. Compared with twin-tube construction, a monotube design dissipates heat faster and more evenly, allows finer damping adjustment, and resists aeration and cavitation.
Mounts, collars, and spring perches are machined from 6061-T6 billet aluminum for a lightweight, durable, corrosion-resistant build. Steel shock bodies are zinc-plated for added protection from corrosion.
A dust boot is standard on every Kontrol Pro coilover to protect the damper seal, with the bump stop integrated inside it — more efficient, and less prone to crumbling than a separate bump stop.

Installation
Set ride height with the adjustable lower mount where the application has one; use the spring perch only where the application-specific layout has no adjustable lower mount. Lock every collar with both spanner wrenches. Start damping 18 clicks counterclockwise from full stiff and adjust from there. Professional setup and alignment are required after installation; on MacPherson fronts, establish baseline camber at the elongated lower-mount hole before fine adjustment at the upper plate.
