Product details
Procomp is the 12 inch tier of KSport's big brake range, and on the 2006 to 2007 Mitsubishi EVO 9 it replaces the front calipers with opposed six-piston aluminum units. The page says this opposed-piston layout improves pad wear and caliper rigidity compared with the original hardware. The calipers are one-piece billet aluminum and bolt up using CNC-machined carbon steel brackets.
This part number comes with two-piece cross-drilled rotors, 12 inches (304 mm) across, on aluminum center bells. Cross-drilled rotors run cooler and are recommended for daily-driven cars, while the slotted version of the kit is the one for heavier track use. Both appear on the Procomp page.
You also receive SC1 street pads, which are ceramic with a stated operating range of 194 to 1022 degrees Fahrenheit and are meant to reduce dust and rotor wear, along with stainless braided lines and hardware. Fit the wheel check seriously: the page gives 16 inch or larger as a planning rule only, about 4 inches over the rotor, and asks you to confirm the KSport template against the barrel and spokes. After fitting, bed the pads in. The EVO 8 from 2003 to 2005 is also listed; verify fitment with the year, make and model checker.

Lightweight 6-pot aluminum calipers are standard on 11 in and 12 in front systems; 8-pot calipers on 13 in and 14 in. The opposed-piston design greatly improves pad wear and caliper rigidity over OEM.
Lightweight 2-pot aluminum calipers are standard on 11 in and 12 in rear kits; 4-pot on 13 in and 14 in systems.
Two-piece rotors provide light weight, fade-free performance and grip on the track with comfortable, easy operation under normal driving.
CNC-machined carbon steel brackets let the larger calipers bolt to the OEM caliper bracket location.
Cross-drilled rotors run cooler and are recommended for daily-driven vehicles; slotted rotors are recommended for vehicles that see more track use.
NAOC ceramic street pads (194–1022°F operating range) reduce dust and rotor wear; DOT-compliant stainless braided lines resist expansion for a firmer, quicker pedal.

Installation
Bolt-on installation with the supplied brackets; no vehicle modification on most applications. After fitting, bed the pads in: on a clear road, ten light-to-medium stops from 30–45 mph, three seconds each, at least a quarter mile apart. Some noise before the brakes warm up is normal for big brake kits.
Brake system support and bed-in procedureWarranty & service
12-month limited warranty to the original purchaser against defects in materials and workmanship. Racing use, exterior finish and improperly installed or modified parts are not covered; keep your original invoice for any claim. Small surface cracks on cross-drilled rotors are normal wear and not a defect. Replacement pads, rotors, lines and hardware are sold individually.
