The Kontrol Plus 2-Way coilovers are approved for the 2003 to 2007 Mitsubishi EVO 9, with the EVO 8 of those years also listed. Springs are 9.8 kg/mm at the front and 8.7 kg/mm at the rear, and these systems run 2 to 3 kg stiffer springs and 60 to 150% stiffer damping than the Kontrol Pro kit. Use the year, make and model checker for your car before the order.
Damping adjusts at the top of the assembly with 36 levels, and an extra 24 nitrogen levels are set at the bottom of the reservoir. The external reservoir lets rebound, compression and nitrogen pressure be adjusted separately, which gives 864 possible settings. The monotube body sheds heat faster and more evenly, with finer damping steps and resistance to aeration and cavitation.
Advanced pillowball mounts replace the stock rubber or plastic units on MacPherson-strut applications, with camber and caster adjustment that reduces flex and sharpens response. Most applications adjust ride height without affecting shock and spring travel, so set the stance at the adjustable lower mount. Lock every collar, start damping 18 clicks counterclockwise from full stiff, and have the car professionally aligned afterward.

Installation
Set ride height with the adjustable lower mount where the application has one; use the spring perch only where the application-specific layout has no adjustable lower mount. Lock every collar with both spanner wrenches. Start damping 18 clicks counterclockwise from full stiff and adjust from there. Professional setup and alignment are required after installation; on MacPherson fronts, establish baseline camber at the elongated lower-mount hole before fine adjustment at the upper plate.
