Product details
Here is a no-frills way to give a 2006 to 2007 Mitsubishi EVO 9 adjustable air ride. Airtech Basic bundles everything into one box and leaves the electronics out: two paddle valves, one for each axle, and a dual-needle gauge rated to 200 psi that shows front and rear pressure side by side. If you prefer to see what the system is doing at a glance, that simplicity is the appeal.
The four struts are made for this application and carry 36-way damping, so firmness is a separate decision from height. Fit the included knob, then turn counterclockwise to soften or clockwise to stiffen. A Viair 444C compressor fills a 5-gallon black steel tank, and the page says a single 444C can lift the car from its lowest setting to full height in as little as four seconds. The height range is listed as 0 to 120/200 mm depending on vehicle.
Hoses, wiring and manuals come with the kit. The adjustable lower mounts let you tune height at any pressure, much like KSport coilovers. For leak checking, inflate to 70 psi and spray each fitting with soapy water. EVO 8 years are also listed, so use the year, make and model checker to verify fitment; a technician can advise on camber-adjustable top mounts.
Supported features
36 levels of damping adjustment let you dial in the air struts. Insert the included damping knob and turn softer (counterclockwise) or stiffer (clockwise).
Air bags are engineered to match the vehicle. Sleeve-type and double-bellow bags are used depending on the OEM suspension design.
Like KSport coilovers, the struts allow fine-tuning of ride height at any pressure through an adjustable lower mount.
Chosen for reliability and performance; the single 444C can raise the car from lowest to maximum height in as little as four seconds. Airtech Basic and Deluxe raise in 4–7 seconds; Pro Plus and Executive raise faster, in 2–5 seconds.
Paddle valves control front and rear bags; the dual-needle gauge mounts beside the switches so pressure is always visible.
Camber-adjustable top mounts can be added on certain MacPherson-strut applications.

Choices for this system
Basic (paddle valves and gauge), Deluxe (electronic switches and remote), Pro Plus (OLED remote, four-corner control) and Executive (adds height sensors and auto-leveling) are separate part numbers for this vehicle; compare them on the Air Suspension page.
Available on certain MacPherson-strut applications; ask a technician whether they apply to this vehicle.
Installation
Bolt-on struts with supplied hoses, wiring and manuals; professional installation is recommended. Recheck the system after the first 500 miles or one month; to check for leaks, inflate to 70 psi and spray each fitting with soapy water.
