Product details
Version RR is KSport's race-first coilover for the 2007-2013 Mini Cooper S R56 S Model, the one approved application for part CBM190-RR. The springs and valving are aggressive, and the shock stroke runs 20-30 mm shorter than street kits, so the car sits lower with less travel to spare. Four assembled coilovers arrive sprung and valved for this application, each with its own damping knob.
Ride height is set on the adjustable lower mount, which keeps full shock travel while you lower the car. Start damping 18 clicks counterclockwise from full stiff, then adjust from there with the included spanner wrenches. Because this is a MacPherson-strut front, set baseline camber at the elongated lower-mount hole before fine tuning at the upper plate, and have a professional complete the alignment after install.
Rates run 14 kg/mm front and 14 kg/mm rear, and custom rates are available if your track plan calls for something else. The kit is also listed for 2007-2014 Mini Cooper Clubman and 2014 Mini Cooper S, but confirm fitment with the year/make/model checker before you order. Mounts, collars and spring perches are machined from 6061-T6 billet aluminum.
Supported features
36 levels of damping adjustment. Set full soft for a comfortable cruising setting for normal driving.
Version RR kits include upgraded bumpstops to prevent the shock from bottoming out over uneven pavement or harsh road conditions.
Aggressive spring rates and valving with a 20–30 mm shorter shock stroke. Choose proven spring rates or your own custom rates; the shocks are valved to what you select.
Many MacPherson applications have pillowball upper mounts; the patented bearing design combats noise and improves steering feel and response.
Oil and gas stay separated within the cylinder for faster heat dissipation, finer damping adjustment, and consistent ride quality.
Mounts, collars, and spring perches are machined from 6061-T6 billet aluminum; steel shock bodies are zinc-plated for added protection from corrosion.

Installation
Set ride height with the adjustable lower mount where the application has one; use the spring perch only where the application-specific layout has no adjustable lower mount. Lock every collar with both spanner wrenches. Start damping 18 clicks counterclockwise from full stiff and adjust from there. Professional setup and alignment are required after installation; on MacPherson fronts, establish baseline camber at the elongated lower-mount hole before fine adjustment at the upper plate.
