The Airtech Deluxe for the 2001 Mini Cooper is a complete system built around four 36-way air struts, a Viair 444C compressor, an air tank, paddle valves and a gauge. Two electronic switches and a wireless remote add finer control, and the approved application is the 2001 Mini Cooper on the R53 chassis.
Installation is simple with a quick-disconnect plug: run the air lines to the box, connect four wires, and wire the compressor and relay. The remote adjusts ride height from outside the car, and the 444C can lift the car from lowest to maximum height in as little as four seconds.
Each strut carries an adjustable lower mount for fine ride-height tuning at any pressure, plus 36 damping levels set by the included knob. The kit is also listed for the 2002-2006 Mini Cooper S on the R53 chassis, and on the R50 chassis for the 2002-2006 Mini Cooper hatchback and hardtop and the 2001 Mini Cooper S.

Installation
Bolt-on struts with supplied hoses, wiring and manuals; professional installation is recommended. Recheck the system after the first 500 miles or one month; to check for leaks, inflate to 70 psi and spray each fitting with soapy water.
