This Airtech Basic kit is built for the 1993-1997 Mazda 626 and uses four application-specific air struts with 36-way damping and adjustable lower mounts. The Viair 444C compressor, a 5-gallon black steel tank and manual paddle valves with a dual-needle 200 psi gauge make it a complete system.
Damping is set with the included knob, turning counterclockwise for softer and clockwise for stiffer. The lower mounts let you fine-tune ride height at any pressure. Basic raises the car in roughly four to seven seconds, and the air bags are sleeve-type or double-bellow depending on the OEM suspension design. Hoses, wiring and installation manuals are supplied.
Professional installation is recommended, and some applications may need changes to the OEM top mounts. Recheck the connections after the first 500 miles or one month. The MX-6 and the Ford Probe are also listed for this kit, so confirm your model with the KSport checker before ordering.
Supported features
36 levels of damping adjustment let you dial in the air struts. Insert the included damping knob and turn softer (counterclockwise) or stiffer (clockwise).
Air bags are engineered to match the vehicle. Sleeve-type and double-bellow bags are used depending on the OEM suspension design.
Like KSport coilovers, the struts allow fine-tuning of ride height at any pressure through an adjustable lower mount.
Chosen for reliability and performance; the single 444C can raise the car from lowest to maximum height in as little as four seconds. Airtech Basic and Deluxe raise in 4–7 seconds; Pro Plus and Executive raise faster, in 2–5 seconds.
Paddle valves control front and rear bags; the dual-needle gauge mounts beside the switches so pressure is always visible.
Camber-adjustable top mounts can be added on certain MacPherson-strut applications.
