Product details
Version RR Road Race coilovers for the 2010 to 2013 Mazda 3, including the Mazdaspeed 3 version, are built on application-specific rates. The front spring rate is 16 and the rear spring rate is 16.0, with aggressive race valving. Check your car against the year, make and model checker before ordering.
The shock stroke runs 20 to 30 mm shorter than street kits, and upgraded bumpstops help keep the shock from bottoming out over uneven pavement. The 36 levels of adjustment let you set a comfortable cruising setting or a firmer one for track days, and you can choose proven spring rates or supply custom ones.
The front upper mount is a pillowball with camber adjustment, while the rear upper mount is aluminum with no camber adjustment, so plan your alignment around that. Ride height comes from the adjustable lower mount, and professional setup and alignment are required after installation.
Supported features
36 levels of damping adjustment. Set full soft for a comfortable cruising setting for normal driving.
Version RR kits include upgraded bumpstops to prevent the shock from bottoming out over uneven pavement or harsh road conditions.
Aggressive spring rates and valving with a 20–30 mm shorter shock stroke. Choose proven spring rates or your own custom rates; the shocks are valved to what you select.
Many MacPherson applications have pillowball upper mounts; the patented bearing design combats noise and improves steering feel and response.
Oil and gas stay separated within the cylinder for faster heat dissipation, finer damping adjustment, and consistent ride quality.
Mounts, collars, and spring perches are machined from 6061-T6 billet aluminum; steel shock bodies are zinc-plated for added protection from corrosion.

Installation
Set ride height with the adjustable lower mount where the application has one; use the spring perch only where the application-specific layout has no adjustable lower mount. Lock every collar with both spanner wrenches. Start damping 18 clicks counterclockwise from full stiff and adjust from there. Professional setup and alignment are required after installation; on MacPherson fronts, establish baseline camber at the elongated lower-mount hole before fine adjustment at the upper plate.
