Product details
Version RR Road Race is the coilover choice for a 1992 to 2000 Lexus SC400 (JZZ30) that is driven hard through corners. The four assembled coilovers arrive sprung and valved for this car, with 24.8 kg/mm springs in front and 20 kg/mm at the rear. The SC300 is also listed for this kit.
Every damper has 36 levels of damping adjustment. The soft end gives a comfortable cruise on ordinary roads, and firmer settings suit a car that is pushed into fast corners. Upgraded shock bumpstops help limit bottoming over uneven pavement and harsh road surfaces. Custom spring rates are available if the standard aggressive rates are not what you want, and the shocks are valved to match whichever rates you pick.
Ride height is set on the adjustable lower mount, both spanner wrenches lock the collars, and damping should begin 18 clicks counterclockwise from full stiff. Plan on a professional alignment after the install. Pillowball top mounts on MacPherson applications are there for steering feel, and the year, make and model checker is the way to confirm fitment before buying.
Supported features
36 levels of damping adjustment. Set full soft for a comfortable cruising setting for normal driving.
Version RR kits include upgraded bumpstops to prevent the shock from bottoming out over uneven pavement or harsh road conditions.
Aggressive spring rates and valving with a 20–30 mm shorter shock stroke. Choose proven spring rates or your own custom rates; the shocks are valved to what you select.
Many MacPherson applications have pillowball upper mounts; the patented bearing design combats noise and improves steering feel and response.
Oil and gas stay separated within the cylinder for faster heat dissipation, finer damping adjustment, and consistent ride quality.
Mounts, collars, and spring perches are machined from 6061-T6 billet aluminum; steel shock bodies are zinc-plated for added protection from corrosion.

Installation
Set ride height with the adjustable lower mount where the application has one; use the spring perch only where the application-specific layout has no adjustable lower mount. Lock every collar with both spanner wrenches. Start damping 18 clicks counterclockwise from full stiff and adjust from there. Professional setup and alignment are required after installation; on MacPherson fronts, establish baseline camber at the elongated lower-mount hole before fine adjustment at the upper plate.
