Product details
Few cars wear drag-race coilovers as naturally as a 1992 to 2000 Lexus SC400 (JZZ30), and Version DR, part number CLX100-DR, is the set aimed at it. Springs are rated 24.8 kg/mm in front and 7.5 kg/mm in the rear, and the valving is custom for drag racing.
The intent is to reduce elapsed time and 60-ft time, with rates chosen to regulate weight transfer and improve traction off the line. The dampers keep 36 levels of adjustment, so after a pass you can turn them to full soft for a comfortable cruising setting. Height is set at the adjustable lower mount, which preserves shock travel, and the pillowball top mount and aerospace-grade aluminum components complete the build.
A Version RR road-race system is named as the base platform, so those looking for circuit use should read about that line first. The SC300 (1992 to 2000, JZZ30) is also listed for this kit. Check fitment with the year/make/model checker and talk to KSport if you want something different from the standard rates.
Supported features
Custom valved for drag racing with spring rates chosen to maximize traction and regulate weight transfer.
36 levels of damping adjustment. Set full soft for a comfortable cruising setting between passes.
Many MacPherson applications have pillowball upper mounts; the patented bearing design combats noise and improves steering feel and response.
Most applications adjust ride height without affecting shock and spring travel.
Oil and gas stay separated within the cylinder for faster heat dissipation, finer damping adjustment, and consistent behavior pass after pass.
Mounts, collars, and spring perches are machined from 6061-T6 billet aluminum; steel shock bodies are zinc-plated for added protection from corrosion.

Installation
Set ride height with the adjustable lower mount where the application has one; use the spring perch only where the application-specific layout has no adjustable lower mount. Lock every collar with both spanner wrenches. Start damping 18 clicks counterclockwise from full stiff and adjust from there. Professional setup and alignment are required after installation; on MacPherson fronts, establish baseline camber at the elongated lower-mount hole before fine adjustment at the upper plate.
Coilover setup, height and damping guidesWarranty & service
