The Kontrol Pro kit for the 2006 to 2012 Lexus GS450 comes as four assembled coilovers, sprung and valved for the car, with 16 kg/mm springs in front and 8.7 kg/mm in the rear. It is a monotube coilover built for a comfortable street setup with the option of firmer damping.
Thirty-six levels of damping sit on each damper, so the ride can be softened for comfortable driving or stiffened for track sessions. Monotube bodies dissipate heat faster and more evenly than twin-tube designs, which helps the damping stay consistent. A dust boot with the bump stop built in protects the damper seal.
Set ride height at the adjustable lower mount, which keeps shock travel intact, and lock all collars with both spanner wrenches. Pillowball upper mounts with camber adjustment make alignment easier after lowering. Check the car against the year, make and model checker. Oil and gas stay separated within the cylinder. Compared with twin-tube construction, a monotube design dissipates heat faster and more evenly, allows finer damping adjustment, and resists aeration and cavitation.
Mounts, collars, and spring perches are machined from 6061-T6 billet aluminum for a lightweight, durable, corrosion-resistant build. Steel shock bodies are zinc-plated for added protection from corrosion.
A dust boot is standard on every Kontrol Pro coilover to protect the damper seal, with the bump stop integrated inside it — more efficient, and less prone to crumbling than a separate bump stop.

Installation
Set ride height with the adjustable lower mount where the application has one; use the spring perch only where the application-specific layout has no adjustable lower mount. Lock every collar with both spanner wrenches. Start damping 18 clicks counterclockwise from full stiff and adjust from there. Professional setup and alignment are required after installation; on MacPherson fronts, establish baseline camber at the elongated lower-mount hole before fine adjustment at the upper plate.
