Owners of a 2006 to 2012 Lexus GS450 with all-wheel drive can use the Airtech Basic air system, which pairs four air struts with a single Viair 444C compressor and a tank. Each strut carries 36-way damping, and the adjustable lower mounts set ride height.
Basic is run by hand: paddle valves control the front and rear bags, and the dual-needle 200 psi gauge sits right beside them. Raising the car takes roughly 4 to 7 seconds at this level. The supplied damping knob turns softer counterclockwise and stiffer clockwise, so the firmness can be kept where you want it.
Installation is bolt-on, with hoses, wiring and manuals supplied, though professional installation is recommended. After the first 500 miles or one month, recheck the connections. Deluxe, Pro Plus and Executive are separate part numbers for this vehicle if you want electronic control. 36 levels of damping adjustment let you dial in the air struts. Insert the included damping knob and turn softer (counterclockwise) or stiffer (clockwise).
